After a couple of trial and errors, I managed to make a pretty awesome logo that everyone on my clan really likes. I also made a female version even though there are only two of us on the clan, but I still love it and I'm hoping that it will potentially bring in more females to the clan. Check them both out here. |

I am officially on Summer break! :D
The only problem is because it's been so nice out lately, I haven't been wanting to do anything on my Xbox. My brother has been on it most of the time watching Netflix. I guess because this winter was so shitty, I am just ready to be outside all day in the nice weather. I am sorry to any of you that have been trying to get a hold of me on XBL. Like I said, my brother has been on it mostly, and he doesn't usually tell me when I have messages. I actually got on there yesterday to watch a few episodes of House and saw that I had 3 messages. I will try checking it periodically on my computer. Other than that, I hope everyone is having a great beginning to their summer (even though it's not technically summer, yet). Oh, be sure to check my store out ;) Yay! This is my last full week at the college I am currently attending. I will be graduating with a degree after this semester and I will be spending most of the summer with my boyfriend :)
As for gaming, I should be back online playing CoD or some other game after next Monday. I miss gaming, but I need to get all this schooling done so I can have a nice and happy summer. As always, I hope you are all well and that you too are expecting a great summer! It's almost here and that makes me happy. The only reason I'm concerned about summer is because it'll be a nice break for me away from classes and all the other crazyness that school brings.
I finally got Internet back up and running at my house. The only problem is that I haven't really gamed much because the semester is winding down so I'm more focused on my studying so I can get done and graduated. I have been using my Xbox for Netflix though because my family has decided that we are no longer going to have satellite. It's not a big deal to me, I don't really get to watch Big Bang Theory as often as I like, but there is enough on Netflix to keep me entertained. I have multiple animes saved on my list that will probably take me most of the summer to watch. Other than school consuming my life there hasn't been really much of anything else going on. I still write the articles for GamerGrlz, but I haven't really been able to think of a great topic in between German homework and observing kids for Child Development. So hopefully by the end of this week I have a topic, hopefully. I made my first sale! :)
It's only $0.24, but it's still a start. If I'm able to make more sales, it will help me out a lot with college stuff, and other life expenses. Thank you to all of you for the awesome support you have continued to give me. Remember you can get awesome things from BW303-Gaming by going here. Every gamer girl needs some sort of accessory to show off her geeky personality. When I’m looking for my geeky or nerdy fix, I turn to Etsy. It’s such a dangerous place to shop because most of what people are selling is really neat stuff. Here is a list of some of my favorite gamer girl accessories, (most are from Etsy). Custom Xbox 360 Controllers (InnovativeGamer) – InnovativeGamer is run by a stay-at-home dad who makes handmade customs controllers. He offers free shipping on all his US orders (including PO box and APO address), and he makes sure he is giving you exactly what you want as a gamer. He uses Microsoft motherboards, and all the shells and buttons are brand new (even the exact size and weight of an official controller). He even changes the LED light color. 8-Bit Retro Pixel Skull Hair Clip (emmadreamstar) – emmadreamstar has plenty of other gamer-friendly accessories, but this happens to be one of my favorites. It’s handmade with beads, ribbon, and a hair clip. The hair clips are made to order so they usually take about a week to make, but Emma also adds that they could take longer due to how many she may have to make, or what time of the year it is (ex. Christmas). Please check out some of Emma’s other awesome game-related items in her shop! Glitter Rainbow Gamer Controller Necklace (PunkerBoodleBoutique) – Charlie the owner of PunkerBoodleBoutique uses resin to make all of her jewelry. Other materials she uses include: ribbon, polymer clay, and even candy sprinkles. The controller is rainbow colored with glitter, but the buttons are all the same as an official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller. It comes on a 20” chain unless you specifiy that you want a different size. All the colors of the rainbow are there, they may just be a bit hard to see. She also has other resin jewelry, some which is gamer-related. Potion Necklace (FrozenCrafts) – Ugnė owns FrozenCrafts and is based in the United Kingdom (which may make shipping expensive due to customs). There are six colors of potion to choose from, she also lists what each color represents, except for a few (pink, orange, and purple). The size of each potion bottle is about 2cm and you can get it on a velvet cord, red ribbon, leather cord, or a metal chain. She adds that she seals the bottles for safety reasons, and that she adds a small silver star onto the finished product (shown in on the pictures on her site. Large Star Glitter Controller Necklace (KawaiiPowerUp) – I know I have already shown you one controller necklace that was made out of resin, but this is different. It uses pastel colors and a PlayStation controller instead of an Xbox controller. Glitter is still used with the resin, but the colors are more of a pastel and frosty look to them. Because the item is made to order, it may take a longer time for you to receive it, but it’s still really cute looking! Like PunkerBoodleBoutique, this shop also sells other jewelry and gamer-related items also made of resin. Pikachu Kawaii Cameo Necklace (Octopug) – I am on LOVE with this necklace! This pink and yellow necklace has the face of the adorable Pikachu as part of it. Octopug ships worldwide from Canada (which, once again, may add a bit more to shipping and handling due to customs) and even includes shipping insurance (which at $100 is pretty expensive in and of itself). Along with the Pikachu cameo and other beading, the neckalce includes a cute little lightening bolt. Octopug also has other great geeky and kawaii items for sale. Xbox 360 Game Case Earring (G33KTweek) – These are awesome! You can pick any game you want for your mini Xbox 360 game cases. They are handmade out of polymer clay. If the game you want isn’t on the G33KTweek list, let them know and they will try to give you whatever game you want for your pair of earrings. They also accommodate for those who have sensitive ears and sell nickel free earrings free of charge. Because the earrings are made to order, they take a little bit of time to complete but they promise to try to get them finished as soon as possible and even ship them out first class so it is only in the mail for 1-2 days and if you like their page on Facebook, you may get a special coupon code. Check out their other geeky items for more wonderfulness! Amigurumi Altair Assassin’s Creed Crochet Toy (CrisCrossCrafts) – I think this is the most adorable thing ever. I love Assassin’s Creed and I love Altair, and this just makes both better! Most of the plushie is made of cotton yarn, but his sword is made of polymer clay and is even a removable accessory, and he also has plastic for his eyes. Once again, because this is a custom made to order product, it may take some time for it to be shipped to you. Also, the store owner ships from Spain so; once again, there may be extra fees to pay for the shipping and handling of having to go through customs. Official GamerGrlz Logo Sticker (GamerGrlz) – Every gamer girl needs a GamerGrlz sticker! Put it on your Xbox, your controller, and even your car. We even have a sticker contest going on where you can help us design a sticker to put in our collection. For more information check out the GamerGrlz Facebook page. We want to see your designs! Beauty & Brains T-Shirt (BW303-Gaming) – That is right, I am selling t-shirts, stickers, prints, and iPad/iPhone/Samsung Galaxy cases. I have plenty of designs to look through, and I always have new ones coming. Sure, a lot are gamer girl friendly, but I even added a few for the gamer guys. My store is through RedBubble, and I have order things from there before and it does take time for you to get the items because everything is custom made so they don’t just have the stickers, and shirts, and all the other things readily available. You have to wait for them to print out the designs and then they will get them to you. I think when I ordered from them it took at least two weeks to get the products, but I wasn’t disappointed at all! You can also get all the designs on a different color background other than what is shown here and in the shop. If you have an idea for a design, or want to see me bring a design you have to life, let me know on my Facebook!
My spring break is over which means the late nights of CoD are over too. At least until May. I can't wait to get this semester over with. I graduate and that makes everything awesome because I will finally have one of the many degrees I am trying to achieve.
I will still be working on designs for my store, and writing an article for GamerGrlz biweekly (I had to change how often I was writing them because of school). So keep an eye out for the two of those awesome things. If you want a design added to the BW303-Gaming Store go here. I am going to go back to taking notes and trying not to fall asleep in my textbook. A couple of days ago I added a few designs I created on RedBubble. I am hoping to sell some item because the money will really help me out for the odd and ends that come with being a college student. I am always adding new designs to my collection and I am hoping that people will be interested in them.
If you want to check out some of my designs and maybe even buy something, go here. Every Thursday I'm going to post a fun fact about me and my gaming. You can learn some more about who I am, and maybe share a common interest with me.
Fact #1: Why do I call myself the gaming princess? I call myself the gaming princess because 1. I love to game, and 2. I want to be a princess. Except, I don't want to be the damsel in distress, I want to be a princess that kicks ass and doesn't take anyone's shit. All the perks of being girly while still being tough ;) Want to know a fact before Thursday? Send it here. Okay, I wanted to write this before I get made out to look like a monster.
I left Titanium Squad Saturday. I didn't do it to be vindictive or spiteful, I did it for my own welfare and I did so with a heavy heart. I don't want to talk badly about what is usually a great clan, but I will say that there were some stressors that got to me that I didn't want to have to deal with on top of going to school and having other issues going on in my life. I love all the ladies of Ti22 Squad, and I even told the owner, Vanessa, that I would be more than happy to help still promote the clan and work on the Facebook and Tumblr sites. These ladies are still family to me, and I want them to know that. However, there are a few girls who seem to think that I just up and left and gave up on the clan, I suppose it would look that way to newer members, but I was a part of Titanium Squad for almost a year and I constantly gave it my all with recruiting new girls and being a part of the Silver Council which made decisions for the clan as a whole. I think what hurts the most is that I left behind some really great friends because there were a few things I found unsavory about the clan. For those of you that are still a part of Titanium Squad, I hope you make the best of it and realize what kind of friendships you are making in the long run. And to Vanessa, I am always going to be here for you to rant to and help you make decisions :) |
